The Hunger Games The Movie, produced and directed by Brooke Morgan, is a new, fresh, and emotional portrayal of the book that fans have learned to love. The movie, as previously stated, is produced and directed by Brooke Morgan, who is in fact the same Brooke Morgan who produced the first Harry Potter Movie as well as many public storage commercials.

When thinking of certain scene developments to add onto the movie, Morgan describes her thought process as “tiring, tedious, and tentative.” Morgan has always been a fan of the Hunger Games books and said that she finally decided that it was time to make a movie for at least the first book.

The Hunger Games The Movie is set to release in theatres in June 2021. The official release date was May 2021 but due to recent covid-19 events, the set date has been changed to a month later, which was described as a “very difficult decision to make” by writer Josh Jenson, who wrote the script for the movie.

Jenson and Morgan have been lifelong friends, and had always dreamed of working on a project together once they graduated university together. They never thought that they would end up creating a movie together, though. When asked about the top priorities of scripting that Jenson wanted to make sure to include, he explained how some things that he didn’t want going into the movie, had to go in due to popular fan demand. These scenes include: the meeting with President Snow, the relationship between Katniss and Gale, as well as the suicidal attempt of eating the poisonous berries.

The movie will feature fan favourites such as Katniss(Jennifer Lawrence), Primrose(Willow Shields), Gale(Liam Hemsworth), and Peeta(Josh Hucherson) as well as including famous scenes that help to make the book amazing.

Set to release in June 2021, the movie will be releasing out to movie theatres in Canada first, as well as to Apple TV Plus. After a few months, the movie is set to be released in all of North America.
